Adam and Eve Mews

Located within grounds of High Street Kensington, this project called for a sensitive restoration and extension of traditional mews building. DUMA Construction Ltd were commissioned by a private Client to adapt the building to provide open plan kitchen with a dramatic full height sliding glass doors and completely transform ground floor to suit family’s lifestyle.

 

DUMA Construction Ltd worked closely with the Client to develop an approach that is based very much on combining the qualities of the existing building with the aspirations for the building’s future use.

 

The existing Ground floor was dropped by 300mm to create generous ceiling height. Garden was excavated and neighbouring garden walls underpinned to achieve stepless level between external and internal area. New garden room was added to increase living space, mirroring main house with identical sliding doors and appearance of elevations

This project is special by many reasons – Grade II Listed Building, built in 1740’s, next door to Westminster Abbey.

 

DUMA Construction Ltd stepped up to the challenge to partially demolish poor and gloomy rear extensions, built in late 1980’s and build new glazed spacious extension, home to new kitchen and outdoor terrace on Upper Ground Floor and new extended Family room on Lower Ground floor.

 

Gauged arches and reclaimed bricks continuing original appearance and work in harmony with contemporary glazing and modern décor.

 

During this period DUMA Construction Ltd professionally dealt with difficult logistics, working in confined spaces, managing manufacturing process off site and progress on site with great attention to detail.

Blackenbury Village W6

Historic and full of character this Victorian townhouse in Blackenbury Village was fully upgraded and made best use of space.

 

Our Client needed a team who could deliver earnestly to an exceptional standard. The challenge was set – DUMA Construction Ltd had 11 months to deliver two storeys extension to the rear with multiple large frameless windows, the tallest raising 5 meters above the ground, full house remodeling and refurbishment.

 

Internal works included made to fit joinery, new staircase with glass balustrades to Ground Floor, upgraded main stairs, completely new heating and electric systems, bespoke kitchen and bathrooms.

 

Front garden and lightwell were re-landscaped and include wrought iron gates and railings, bicycle storage and natural stone paving.

 

Completed on the expected date, our Client is delighted with the result. Equally, DUMA Construction Ltd are proud to add one more magnificent project into their portfolio.

The floating home, which boasts direct panoramic views of River Thames, has been newly refurbished by DUMA Construction Ltd into a stylish open-plan home. The property has undergone a complete refurbishment and features three double bedrooms, two luxury bathrooms, WC, open plan kitchen/dining, cinema room, reception and roof terrace.

Designed to maximise the movement of natural light, the houseboat is as luxurious as they come. Upstairs, sits a delightful top deck reception saloon, which opens up to balconies on both sides that lead to the generously sized sun deck. Below sits beautiful large open-plan kitchen with polished concrete floors. One of the more notable features that screams luxury is see through glass staircase for the exhibitionists out there.

The scheme involved conversion of Ground Floor commercial unit to residential flat and full refurbishment of First Floor flat.

 

Building was fully stripped to bare shell, new structural slab to Ground Floor, along with steel box frames, designed to provide structural stability and support to new roof structure

 

The main focus was to keep as much as possible of original features of this Victorian mews house, with new roof laid with Welsh slates, some original brick wall features combined with contemporary glass elements.

This building in heart of London was transformed to modern keyless entry business accommodation.

Careful selection of original colours, dark wall paneling, classic floor tiling denotes a sample of the high quality craftmanship, which has gone into creating these stunning spaces.

 

Full refurbishment of communal corridors, entrances and private rooms was carried out with highest attention to the detail, including meeting room and work space.

 

The project was delivered to a high level of Client’s satisfaction. DUMA Construction Ltd were pleased to receive many appreciative comments from both Client and Design team.

DUMA Construction Ltd are proud to put forward their name as Main Contractor on Grade II Listed Building in heart of Belgravia – Old Barrack Yard.

Efficiency and productivity of this project was largely dependent on effective logistics management. DUMA Construction Ltd executed it perfectly. Large sliding rooflight was installed over rear courtyard, creating dining area adjacent to the kitchen. Masterful use of built-in joinery, along with original colour scheme brings voluminous light and space into this property.

DUMA Construction Ltd were delighted to undertake full refurbishment of this semi-detached house with side and rear extension and open plan living space.

 

Full height sliding glass doors at the rear create unobstructed view of the garden and structural glass roof breathe new life to the property.

This Victorian townhouse suffered from a poor original layout and required extensive refurbishment. The Client wanted to create an interior that reflected their lifestyle and provided a more flexible use of space.

Duma Construction Ltd undertook and managed the entire project from the start to completion. Lower Ground floor was extended to the rear and redesigned increasing the level of natural light by adding full height frameless sliding glass doors with direct access to the newly landscaped garden. First floor bedroom was enlarged with private roof terrace.

Full refurbishment included new Mechanical and Electrical systems, damp-proof tanking, Engineered timber flooring throughout, overhauling of staircase with French polished curved handrail.

The final outcome was a home with a magnificent mix of contemporary finishes and traditional features and colours.

This Detached house suffered from a lack of space and required extensive refurbishment. The aim of client was to create an interior and exterior that reflected their lifestyle and provided a more flexible use of space.

Duma Construction Ltd undertook and managed the entire project from the start to completion.

Demolition of rear conservatory and installation of new windows in resulting opening, installation of replacement windows, four new roof lights, construction of new first floor rear dormer window with Juliet balcony and the conversion of garage into habitable room.

Full refurbishment included new Mechanical and Electrical systems, Engineered timber flooring throughout.
